چکیده
Traditionally complete and partial dentures are desired form of replacement for missing teeth. A variety polymers used different clinical procedures in dentistry, among these polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is most commonly dental settings. But practice, cracking fracturing the PMMA frequent cause failure or removable dentures. Thus a good material repair must be chosen to overcome this problem. To evaluate flexural strength acrylic resin processed by methods. An in-vitro study was conducted with Thirty-six maxillary denture bases prepared Laboratory at Department Prosthodontics Crown & Bridge, AB Shetty Memorial Institute Dental Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangalore. Ethical clearance obtained from institutional ethical committee, conduct study. This on reinforced various materials assess change midline base. For 36 were fabricated divided into three groups depending made. Group 1 Auto polymerizing (DPI-RR), 2 High impact (Trevalon-Dentsply), 3 Glass fiber (Acralyn-H).

Evaluation of flexural strength and color stability of different denture base materials including flexible material after using different denture cleansers
AIMS Present study aimed at evaluating the colour stability and flexural strength of flexible denture base materials (Valplast) and Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) denture base material (Meliodent) processed by two different methods (Injection moulding and compression moulding) after immersing them in three different denture cleansers with acidic, basic and neutral PH. METHODS AND MATERIALS To...
متن کاملShear Bond Strength of Acrylic Denture Teeth to PMMA and Polyamide Denture Base Materials
Introduction: Detachment of denture teeth from denture base is one of the most common reasons for costly denture repairs .This study aimed at evaluating the bond strength of an acrylic denture tooth to polyamide injection-molded thermoplastic denture base material compared with three conventional polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) denture base resins. Materials and Method: A total of 40 acrylic dent...
متن کاملReinforcing effect of glass fiber-reinforced composite reinforcement on flexural strength at proportional limit of a repaired denture base resin
Objective: This study evaluated the reinforcing effect of glass fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) reinforcement on flexural strength at the proportional limit (FS-PL) of a repaired denture base resin. Materials and methods: Repaired denture base resins reinforced with metal and with FRC reinforcement, and that without reinforcement were tested. The ultimate flexural strength, the FS-PL and the e...
متن کاملA Comparative Evaluation of Effect of Reinforced Autopolymerizing Resin on the Flexural Strength of Repaired Heat-polymerized Denture Base Resin before and after Thermocycling
Aims and Objective Denture fractures are a common problem in clinical practice. Despite the use of different reinforcement materials (metal wires, metal plates, and various types of fibers) for denture repairs, recurrent fractures are still common. The purpose of this study was to compare the maximum flexural loads of the heat-polymerized denture base resin when repaired with autopolymerizing r...
متن کاملElastic modulus and flexural strength comparisons of high-impact and traditional denture base acrylic resins.
BACKGROUND Fractures of acrylic resin dentures are a common occurrence in clinical dentistry. The denture may be fractured accidentally when dropped or while in service in the mouth due to flexural fatigue. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to compare the elastic modulus and the flexural strength between two heat-cured acrylic resins used in denture bases: a high-impact resin (Lucitone 199...
